Description
Mattermost versions 10.11.x <= 10.11.9 fail to properly validate channel membership at the time of data retrieval which allows a deactivated user to learn team names they should not have access to via a race condition in the /common_teams API endpoint.. Mattermost Advisory ID: MMSA-2025-00549
A vulnerability exists in Mattermost versions 10.11.x prior to 10.11.9, where the application fails to properly validate channel membership during data retrieval. This flaw allows deactivated users to access team names they should not be privy to, exploiting a race condition in the '/common_teams' API endpoint.
Users can upgrade to Mattermost version 11.3.010.11.10 to address this vulnerability.
