Description
Gitea does not properly verify repository context when deleting attachments. A user who previously uploaded an attachment to a repository may be able to delete it after losing access to that repository by making the request through a different repository they can access.
A vulnerability in Gitea's handling of attachment deletions can lead to unauthorized removal of files. The issue arises because the application does not properly verify the repository context when an attachment is deleted. As a result, a user who has uploaded an attachment to a repository may be able to delete it from a different repository they have access to, after losing access to the original one.
Users can upgrade to Gitea version 1.26.0, where this vulnerability has been addressed.
