Description
A package validation issue was addressed by blocking the vulnerable package. This issue is fixed in macOS Tahoe 26.3. An app may be able to gain root privileges.
A package validation vulnerability has been identified in Apple macOS Tahoe, specifically in the CoreServices and Security components. This issue allows an application to gain root privileges by exploiting a race condition and a path handling problem, respectively. The vulnerability was addressed in macOS Tahoe 26.3 by blocking the vulnerable package and improving validation processes.
Users can upgrade to macOS Tahoe 26.3 to address this vulnerability.
