Description
A weakness has been identified in anubissbe ProjectHub-Mcp up to 5.0.0. This affects an unknown function of the file backend-fix/complete_backend.js of the component Webhooks API. This manipulation of the argument url causes server-side request forgery. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability has been identified in anubissbe ProjectHub-Mcp versions through 5.0.0. The issue resides in the Webhooks API component, specifically within the file backend-fix/complete_backend.js. The vulnerability arises because the API accepts webhook definitions via POST requests and stores the provided URL without proper validation. This flaw allows remote exploitation by sending requests to arbitrary destinations, including internal network targets.
No official remediation is available, but users are advised to validate webhook URLs before storing them and to apply the same SSRF protections present in other parts of the application.
