Description
A vulnerability was detected in nanocoai NanoClaw up to 2.0.64. Affected is the function handleCreateAgent of the file src/modules/agent-to-agent/create-agent.ts of the component Child-Agent Creation. Performing a manipulation results in improper privilege management. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit is now public and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
A vulnerability exists in nanocoai NanoClaw versions through 2.0.64, specifically in the Child-Agent Creation component. The issue arises in the handleCreateAgent function within create-agent.ts. The vulnerability allows non-owner members to create persistent child agents without approval, leading to unauthorized modifications in the central database and host filesystem. This privilege management flaw can be exploited remotely, bypassing intended trust boundaries and approval processes for agent creation.
Users can update to NanoClaw version 2.1.54 or later, where this vulnerability has been addressed.
