Description
A flaw has been found in netease-youdao LobsterAI 2026.6.10. This affects the function parseMediaTokensFromText of the file src/renderer/services/artifactParser.ts of the component MEDIA Path Handler. This manipulation causes information disclosure. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
An information disclosure vulnerability has been identified in NetEase Youdao LobsterAI version 2026.6.10. The issue arises in the Media Path Handler component, specifically within the parseMediaTokensFromText function in artifactParser.ts. This vulnerability allows for arbitrary local file reads by automatically parsing 'MEDIA:' file references from assistant or tool output and forwarding the resulting file paths into a privileged Electron main-process file-read IPC, without proper validation. As a result, an attacker can exploit this flaw remotely, causing the application to read sensitive files accessible to the user account.
