Description
Integer wraparound in IVFFlat index build in pgvector before 0.8.6 allows a database user to write data out-of-bounds, which could lead to arbitrary code execution. Only 32-bit systems are affected.
A buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in pgvector versions prior to 0.8.6, specifically in the IVFFlat index build on 32-bit systems. This vulnerability arises from an integer wraparound that allows database users to write data out-of-bounds, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution.
Users running pgvector on 32-bit systems should upgrade to version 0.8.6 or later.
