Description
The Element Pack Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file reads in all versions up to, and including, 8.3.17 via the SVG widget and a lack of sufficient file validation in the 'render_svg' function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information.
A path traversal vulnerability allowing arbitrary file reads has been identified in the Element Pack Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 8.3.17. The issue arises in the SVG widget, specifically within the 'render_svg' function, which lacks proper file validation. This vulnerability enables authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to read arbitrary files on the server, potentially exposing sensitive information.
Users are advised to update the Element Pack Addons for Elementor plugin to version 8.3.18 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
