Description
Insufficient validation of untrusted input in Updater in Google Chrome prior to 151.0.7922.72 allowed a local attacker to perform OS-level privilege escalation via a malicious file. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability in the Updater component of Google Chrome, prior to version 151.0.7922.72, allows local attackers to escalate privileges at the operating system level by exploiting insufficient validation of untrusted input. This exploitation can be achieved through the use of a malicious file.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 151.0.7922.72 or later to address this vulnerability.
