Description
Insufficient policy enforcement in Extensions in Google Chrome prior to 151.0.7922.72 allowed an attacker who convinced a user to install a malicious extension to inject arbitrary scripts or HTML (UXSS) via a crafted Chrome Extension. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability in Google Chrome Extensions prior to 151.0.7922.72 allowed for universal cross-site scripting (UXSS) attacks. This was due to insufficient policy enforcement, which enabled an attacker to inject arbitrary scripts or HTML into a webpage by convincing a user to install a malicious extension.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 151.0.7922.72 or later to address this vulnerability.
