Description
The Slick Slider WordPress plugin before 0.5.3 does not sanitize and escape a shortcode attribute value before outputting it in an HTML attribute, allowing users with the Contributor role and above to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks that execute when a user views the affected post.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Slick Slider WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 0.5.3. The issue arises because the plugin fails to properly sanitize and escape shortcode attribute values before rendering them in HTML attributes. This flaw allows users with Contributor roles and above to inject malicious scripts that are executed when the affected post is viewed.
Users are advised to update the Slick Slider WordPress plugin to version 0.5.3 or later.
