CVE-2026-15136 Details
Description
The Cookie Banner for GDPR / CCPA – WPLP Cookie Consent plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 4.3.7. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the process_bulk_action function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to permanently delete or forcibly resolve arbitrary GDPR data request records stored in the wpl_data_req table via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
A Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability has been identified in the WPLP Cookie Consent plugin for WordPress, specifically in versions through 4.3.7. The issue arises from inadequate nonce validation in the 'process_bulk_action' function, allowing unauthenticated attackers to delete or resolve GDPR data request records from the 'wpl_data_req' table. Exploitation requires tricking a site administrator into clicking a link that initiates the forged request.
Users are advised to update the WPLP Cookie Consent plugin to version 4.3.8 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
