Description
Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ("Cross-site Scripting") vulnerability in Drupal AI SEO/GEO Analyzer allows Stored XSS. This issue affects AI SEO/GEO Analyzer versions: from 0.0.0 to 1.1.3.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Drupal AI SEO/GEO Analyzer module, affecting versions prior to 1.1.3. This issue arises because the module generates SEO analysis reports by sending entity content, including comments, to a large language model (LLM). The LLM's Markdown response is then converted to HTML and stored for display to privileged users, without undergoing Drupal's standard filtering process. This reliance on the LLM output being safe creates an opportunity for prompt injection, allowing crafted content to be injected that could result in malicious markup being executed as stored cross-site scripting when the report is viewed.
Users are advised to upgrade to the latest version of the AI SEO/GEO Analyzer module. The patched version 1.1.3 is available on the Drupal project page for AI SEO.
