Description
The JS Help Desk WordPress plugin before 3.1.4 grants a support-agent capability to the Contributor role on activation and does not perform a capability check on a user-listing handler, allowing Contributor-level users to enumerate the email addresses of all registered WordPress users.
A vulnerability in the JS Help Desk WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 3.1.4, allows users with the Contributor role to access email addresses of all registered WordPress users. This issue arises because the plugin automatically assigns a support-agent capability to Contributors upon activation, and it fails to implement a proper capability check on a user-listing handler. As a result, Contributors can exploit this oversight to enumerate user email addresses.
Users are advised to update the JS Help Desk WordPress plugin to version 3.1.4 or later.
