Description
A vulnerability was determined in SourceCodester Class and Exam Timetabling System 1.0. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the file /edit_course.php. Executing a manipulation of the argument ID can lead to sql injection. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized.
A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in SourceCodester Class and Exam Timetabling System version 1.0. The issue arises in the '/edit_course.php' file, where insufficient input validation of the 'id' parameter allows remote attackers to inject malicious SQL queries. This vulnerability could be exploited to gain unauthorized access to the database, manipulate or delete data, and access sensitive information.
To address this vulnerability, it is recommended to use prepared statements and parameter binding to prevent SQL injection, validate and filter user input, minimize database user permissions, and conduct regular security audits.
