Description
Incorrect security UI in Extensions in Google Chrome prior to 150.0.7871.47 allowed an attacker who convinced a user to install a malicious extension to inject arbitrary scripts or HTML (UXSS) via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability in Google Chrome's Extensions management, present in versions prior to 150.0.7871.47, introduced an incorrect security user interface. This flaw permitted an attacker to inject arbitrary scripts or HTML, leading to a cross-site scripting (UXSS) vulnerability. The exploitation required convincing a user to install a malicious extension, which could then be activated through a specially crafted HTML page.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 150.0.7871.47 or later to address this vulnerability.
