Description
Insufficient policy enforcement in WebHID in Google Chrome prior to 150.0.7871.47 allowed an attacker who convinced a user to install a malicious extension to perform privilege escalation via a crafted Chrome Extension. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A vulnerability in Google Chrome's WebHID implementation, prior to version 150.0.7871.47, allowed for privilege escalation. This issue arose from insufficient policy enforcement, which enabled an attacker to exploit a crafted Chrome Extension, provided the user was convinced to install it.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 150.0.7871.47 or later to address this vulnerability.
