Description
Heap buffer overflow in Codecs in Google Chrome on Linux and ChromeOS prior to 149.0.7827.115 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
A heap buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Codecs component of Google Chrome on Linux and ChromeOS, affecting versions prior to 149.0.7827.115. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker who has compromised the renderer process to potentially escape the sandbox by exploiting a crafted HTML page.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 149.0.7827.115 or later to address this vulnerability.
