Description
The User Registration & Membership WordPress plugin before 5.2.3 does not perform a capability check for unauthenticated callers on one of its membership payment actions and acts on a caller-supplied user identifier, allowing unauthenticated attackers to delete recently-registered, payment-pending user accounts.
A vulnerability exists in the User Registration & Membership WordPress plugin in versions prior to 5.2.3. The issue arises because the plugin does not verify user capabilities for unauthenticated users on a specific membership payment action. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to delete user accounts that have recently registered and are pending payment.
Users are advised to update the User Registration & Membership WordPress plugin to version 5.2.3 or later.
