Description
The User Registration & Membership WordPress plugin before 5.2.0 does not enforce payment completion before activating a paid membership subscription, allowing unauthenticated users (after self-registering an account through the open registration flow) to obtain an active subscription on any paid plan without paying and access the gated content.
A vulnerability exists in the User Registration & Membership WordPress plugin in versions prior to 5.2.0. The issue allows unauthenticated users to activate paid membership subscriptions without completing the payment process. This is possible by self-registering an account through the open registration flow, after which the user can access gated content on any paid plan.
Users are advised to update the User Registration & Membership WordPress plugin to version 5.2.0 or later.
