Description
Insufficient validation of untrusted input in New Tab Page in Google Chrome prior to 149.0.7827.103 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
A vulnerability allowing a remote attacker to potentially escape the sandbox in Google Chrome has been identified. This issue arises from insufficient validation of untrusted input in the New Tab Page, prior to version 149.0.7827.103. An attacker who has compromised the renderer process could exploit this vulnerability using a crafted HTML page.
Users can update to Google Chrome version 149.0.7827.103 or later to address this vulnerability.
