Description
A vulnerability was determined in theonedev onedev up to 15.0.5. This affects an unknown part of the file /repositories/{projectId}/default-branch of the component REST API. This manipulation of the argument project.defaultBranch causes improper authorization. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. Upgrading to version 15.0.6 is able to mitigate this issue. Upgrading the affected component is advised.
An improper authorization vulnerability has been identified in Theonedev versions through 15.0.5. The issue resides in the REST API endpoint for managing project repositories, specifically when modifying the default branch. This vulnerability allows users to make unauthorized changes to the default branch of a project, which can disrupt workflow automation and branch management. The problem arises because the API endpoint only requires write permission for code, without enforcing the higher-level management permissions needed to make such changes.
Upgrade to Theonedev version 15.0.6, which addresses this vulnerability by aligning the REST API authorization requirements with those of the Web UI.
