Description
A security vulnerability has been detected in OS4ED openSIS-Classic up to 9.3. Affected is the function db_properties of the file functions/DatabaseInc.php of the component Save Data Handler. Such manipulation of the argument values leads to sql injection. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in OS4ED openSIS-Classic versions through 9.3. The issue resides in the Save Data Handler component, specifically within the db_properties function of the DatabaseInc.php file. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to manipulate argument values, leading to SQL injection. The injection point is in the student data save flow, where POST form field values are processed without proper validation, enabling attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands.
It is recommended to validate the 'values[]' array keys against a whitelist of allowed table names and to use parameterized queries or quoted identifiers in the 'db_properties()' function to prevent SQL injection.
