Description
A vulnerability was identified in SourceCodester Online Leave Management System 1.0. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file /admin/?page=reports. The manipulation of the argument date_start/date_end leads to sql injection. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit is publicly available and might be used.
A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in SourceCodester Online Leave Management System version 1.0. The issue arises in the file 'app/admin/reports/index.php' within the 'GET' parameters 'date_start' and 'date_end'. The vulnerability allows remote exploitation by manipulating these date parameters, leading to unauthorized SQL query alterations.
To address this vulnerability, it is recommended to use prepared statements and parameter binding for all SQL queries. Implement strict input validation and allowlisting for SQL-structure inputs. Additionally, apply the principle of least privilege to the database account used by the application.
