CVE-2026-102807 Details
Description
OpenClaw before 2026.9.4 contains an incorrect authorization vulnerability in the mcp.app.view method that allows read-scoped operators to execute MCP App tools requiring operator.write scope. Attackers with operator.read tokens can obtain a standalone ticket from mcp.app.view and redeem it at the MCP app view endpoint to invoke state-changing tools without proper authorization checks.
A vulnerability allowing incorrect authorization has been identified in OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.9.4. This issue resides within the MCP application management system, specifically in the 'mcp.app.view' method. The vulnerability allows operators with read-only access to execute tools that require write permissions. By obtaining a standalone ticket through the 'mcp.app.view' method, these operators can bypass authorization checks and invoke tools that alter application state.
Users can update to OpenClaw version 2026.9.4 or later, where this vulnerability has been addressed.
