Description
A vulnerability was determined in Netcore NAP930 0.1.241010.141410. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the file /lib/functions/backup_common.sh of the component Backup/Restore. This manipulation of the argument aes_pass causes use of hard-coded cryptographic key . It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
A vulnerability exists in the Netcore NAP930 access point running firmware version 0.1.241010.141410. The issue arises in the backup/restore component, specifically within the file '/lib/functions/backup_common.sh'. The vulnerability is due to the use of a hard-coded AES passphrase, 'netcore123', which is embedded in the firmware and shared across all devices. This key allows for the decryption of configuration backup files, enabling the recovery of sensitive information such as Wi-Fi credentials and third-party account passwords.
