Description
Malicious HTML content could be injected into the help texts of various fields with organizer permissions.
A vulnerability allowing HTML injection has been identified in Pretix. This issue arises in the help texts of various fields where organizer permissions are granted. Malicious HTML content could be injected, potentially leading to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks, although the impact is mitigated by a strong Content-Security-Policy on affected pages.
Users are advised to update to Pretix versions 2026.7.1, 2026.6.2, or 2026.5.5, all of which include the necessary fix. For those using Pretix Hosted services, the vulnerability has already been addressed.
