Description
In Write of msg_to_host_buffer.cc, there is a possible out of bounds write due to an incorrect bounds check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
A vulnerability allowing for elevation of privilege has been identified in the EdgeTPU component of Google Pixel devices. This issue arises from a possible out-of-bounds write caused by an incorrect bounds check, which could lead to unauthorized access or privileges. Notably, no additional execution privileges are required for exploitation, and user interaction is not necessary.
Users can update their devices to the June 2026 security patch level to address this vulnerability.
