Description
In NrmmMsgCodec::DecodeUPUTransparentContext of cn_NrmmDecoder.cpp, there is a possible out-of-bounds read due to memory corruption. This could lead to remote denial of service causing a communication processor crash with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
A vulnerability has been identified in the Pixel Modem component of Google Pixel devices, specifically within the NrmmMsgCodec::DecodeUPUTransparentContext function of cn_NrmmDecoder.cpp. This vulnerability involves a possible out-of-bounds read caused by memory corruption, which could lead to a remote denial-of-service condition. Exploitation of this vulnerability would cause a crash in the communication processor, without requiring any additional execution privileges or user interaction.
Users can update their devices to the June 2026 security patch level to address this vulnerability.
