Description
In Load of LoadedArsc.cpp, there is a possible out of bounds write due to a heap buffer overflow. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
A heap buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Android Framework component, specifically in the Load of LoadedArsc.cpp file. This vulnerability allows for a possible out-of-bounds write, leading to a local elevation of privilege. Exploitation of this vulnerability does not require any additional execution privileges or user interaction.
Users can update their devices to the June 2026 security patch level to address this vulnerability. Device manufacturers should set the patch string level to [ro.build.version.security_patch]:[2026-06-01] or [ro.build.version.security_patch]:[2026-06-05], depending on the update availability.
