Description
In tryStartActivity of NfcDispatcher.java, there is a possible automatic special app access permission assignment due to an insecure default value. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
A vulnerability in the NfcDispatcher component of Android has been identified, where an insecure default value can lead to automatic assignment of special app access permissions. This issue allows for local escalation of privileges without requiring additional execution rights or user interaction.
Users can update their devices to Android 17 with a security patch level of 2026-07-01 or later to address this vulnerability.
