Description
In Contacts Provider, there is a possible way to access an incoming call's phone number and associated metadata due to a missing permission check. This could lead to local information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
A vulnerability in the Contacts Provider component of Android allows access to an incoming call's phone number and related metadata. This issue arises from a missing permission check, potentially leading to unauthorized local information disclosure. The vulnerability does not require additional execution privileges and can be exploited without user interaction.
Users can update their devices to Android 17 with a security patch level of 2026-07-01 or later to address this vulnerability.
