Description
The Flexible Map plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's Flexible Maps shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 1.18.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Flexible Map plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.18.0. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes in the plugin's Flexible Maps shortcode. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which are executed when users access the affected pages.
Users can update to WordPress Flexible Map version 1.19.0 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
