CVE-2025-8284 Details
Description
By default, the Packet Power Monitoring and Control Web Interface do not enforce authentication mechanisms. This vulnerability could allow unauthorized users to access and manipulate monitoring and control functions.
A vulnerability exists in the Packet Power Monitoring and Control Web Interface of the EMX and EG products, all versions prior to 4.1.0. By default, these interfaces do not implement authentication, potentially allowing unauthorized users to access and manipulate monitoring and control functions.
Users are advised to update to version 4.1.0 or later. Additionally, it is recommended to isolate devices whenever possible. CISA suggests minimizing network exposure for control system devices, ensuring they are not accessible from the internet, and using secure remote access methods, such as Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
