Description
The Easy Waveform Player plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the shortcode_easywaveformplayer() function in all versions up to, and including, 1.2.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Easy Waveform Player plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.2.2. The issue arises in the shortcode_easywaveformplayer() function, where inadequate input sanitization and output escaping allow authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts. These scripts are executed when users access the affected pages.
Users can update to Easy Waveform Player version 1.2.3 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
