Description
A vulnerability was found in PHPGurukul Online Security Guards Hiring System 1.0. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the file /admin/search.php. The manipulation of the argument searchdata leads to cross site scripting. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used.
A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in PHPGurukul Online Security Guards Hiring System version 1.0. The issue resides in the file '/admin/search.php', where the 'searchdata' parameter is directly inserted into the HTML output without adequate sanitization. This flaw allows remote attackers to inject malicious scripts that could be executed in the context of the user's browser, potentially leading to session hijacking or unauthorized actions.
It is recommended to implement context-aware output encoding for all user-supplied data before rendering it in the HTML output. Additionally, input validation and filtering should be applied to ensure that data conforms to expected formats.
