Description
An issue has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 7.8 before 18.1.6, 18.2 before 18.2.6, and 18.3 before 18.3.2 that could have allowed an authenticated user with Developer-level access to cause a persistent denial of service affecting all users on a GitLab instance by uploading large files.
A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in GitLab Community Edition (CE) and Enterprise Edition (EE) versions 7.8 prior to 18.1.6, 18.2 prior to 18.2.6, and 18.3 prior to 18.3.2. This vulnerability allows an authenticated user with Developer-level access to cause a persistent denial of service for all users on the GitLab instance by uploading large files.
Users are advised to upgrade to GitLab versions 18.3.2, 18.2.6, or 18.1.6. Instructions for updating GitLab can be found in the GitLab Update documentation. For GitLab Runner, refer to the Updating the Runner page.
