Description
Tenda AX-1806 v1.0.0.1 was discovered to contain a stack overflow in the timeZone parameter of the fromSetSysTime function. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted request.
A stack overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Tenda AX-1806 router, specifically in version 1.0.0.1. The issue arises in the 'fromSetSysTime' function, where the 'timeZone' parameter is processed. This vulnerability allows attackers to send crafted requests that cause a denial-of-service condition by exploiting the lack of bounds checking on user-supplied input. The overflow occurs when an excessively long 'timeZone' value, without a colon, is accepted, leading to adjacent stack memory corruption and causing the device to crash.
