Description
An issue in Open Source GPT Researcher v3.3.7 allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands on a victim system via user interaction with a crafted HTML page.
A command injection vulnerability has been identified in Open Source GPT Researcher version 3.3.7. This vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands on a victim's system. The issue arises when a user interacts with a crafted HTML page, which can trigger the execution of commands and spawn a reverse shell on the machine running GPT Researcher locally. The vulnerability can be exploited by entering the GPT Researcher user interface without authentication and submitting a malicious MCP (Model Context Protocol) configuration that executes commands on the server.
