Description
The WPBookit plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in the handle_image_upload() function in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.4. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.
A vulnerability allowing arbitrary file uploads has been identified in the WPBookit plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.0.4. The issue arises from inadequate file type validation in the handle_image_upload() function, which enables authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access and above to upload arbitrary files to the server. This vulnerability could potentially lead to remote code execution.
Users are advised to update the WPBookit plugin to version 1.0.5 or later.
