Description
The Osom Blocks – Custom Post Type listing block plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the ‘class_name’ parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.2.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Osom Blocks – Custom Post Type listing block plugin for WordPress. This issue affects all versions through 1.2.1 and arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping. The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which are executed when users access the affected pages.
Users are advised to update the Osom Blocks plugin to version 1.2.2 or a newer patched version.
