Description
Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key vulnerability in Alex Content Mask content-mask allows Exploiting Incorrectly Configured Access Control Security Levels.This issue affects Content Mask: from n/a through <= 1.8.5.3.
An authorization bypass vulnerability has been identified in the WordPress Content Mask plugin, specifically in versions through 1.8.5.2. This vulnerability allows for exploitation of incorrectly configured access control security levels, leading to insecure direct object references (IDOR).
Users are advised to remove and replace the WordPress Content Mask plugin, as it is likely abandoned and will not receive further updates or fixes. Deactivating the plugin does not eliminate the security threat unless a virtual patch is applied.
