Description
An allocation of resources without limits or throttling vulnerability has been reported to affect Qsync Central. If a remote attacker gains an administrator account, they can then exploit the vulnerability to prevent other systems, applications, or processes from accessing the same type of resource. We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following version: Qsync Central 5.0.0.4 ( 2026/01/20 ) and later
A vulnerability has been identified in Qsync Central versions 5.0.x, allowing for uncontrolled resource consumption. If a remote attacker with administrator access exploits this vulnerability, it can lead to a denial-of-service condition by causing other systems, applications, or processes to be unable to access the same type of resource. This vulnerability is part of a broader set of multiple vulnerabilities affecting Qsync Central.
Users are advised to update Qsync Central to version 5.0.0.4 or later. Instructions for updating Qsync Central are available on the QNAP website.
