Description
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been reported to affect File Station 5. If a remote attacker gains a user account, they can then exploit the vulnerability to bypass security mechanisms or read application data. We have already fixed the vulnerability in the following version: File Station 5 5.5.6.5018 and later
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in QNAP File Station 5, specifically in versions 5.5.x. This vulnerability allows remote attackers with user account access to bypass security mechanisms or read application data.
Users can update File Station 5 to version 5.5.6.5018 or later. To do this, log into QTS or QuTS hero as an administrator, open the App Center, search for 'File Station 5', and click 'Update'.
