Description
Improper handling of input could lead to an XSS vector in the checkAttribute method of the input filter framework class.
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in the Joomla! CMS within the input filter framework. This issue arises from inadequate content filtering in the checkAttribute method, which could be exploited to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability affects Joomla! CMS versions 3.0.0 through 3.10.20-elts, 4.0.0 through 4.4.13, and 5.0.0 through 5.3.3.
Users are advised to upgrade to Joomla! CMS version 4.4.14 or 5.3.4.
