CVE-2025-5391 Details
Description
The WooCommerce Purchase Orders plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the delete_file() function in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.2. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php).
A vulnerability allowing arbitrary file deletion has been identified in the WooCommerce Purchase Orders plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.0.2. The issue arises from inadequate file path validation in the delete_file() function, which enables authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access or higher to delete arbitrary files from the server. This vulnerability could easily lead to remote code execution if a critical file, such as wp-config.php, is deleted.
No known patch is available. It is recommended to review the vulnerability details and consider uninstalling the affected plugin.
