Description
The Bold Page Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the ‘additional_settings’ parameter in all versions up to, and including, 5.3.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Bold Page Builder plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 5.3.6. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in the 'additional_settings' parameter. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts into pages, which are executed when users view the affected pages.
Users are advised to update the Bold Page Builder plugin to version 5.3.7 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
