Description
Multiple plugins and/or themes for WordPress are vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's bundled lightGallery library (<= 2.8.3) in various versions due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in multiple WordPress plugins and themes, all using the lightGallery library version 2.8.3 or earlier. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts. The injected scripts are executed when a user accesses the affected page.
Users can update to a patched version of the affected plugin or theme. For the 'Ibtana - WordPress Website Builder' plugin, update to version 1.2.5.2 or later. For the 'Royal Addons for Elementor' plugin, update to version 1.7.1032 or later. For the 'TP WooCommerce Product Gallery' plugin, update to version 2.0.0.
