Description
In getDefaultCBRPackageName of CellBroadcastHandler.java, there is a possible escalation of privilege due to a logic error in the code. This could lead to local denial of service with System execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
A logic error in the Cell Broadcast Handler component of the Android Cell Broadcast Service could lead to a local denial-of-service condition. This vulnerability allows for unauthorized privilege escalation, requiring system execution rights for exploitation. Notably, user interaction is not necessary.
Users can update their devices to the September 2025 security patch level to address this vulnerability.
