Description
A vulnerability was found in code-projects Simple Banking System up to 1.0. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects some unknown processing of the component Sign In. The manipulation of the argument password2 leads to buffer overflow. Attacking locally is a requirement. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used.
A critical buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in Code-Projects Simple Banking System versions prior to 1.0. This vulnerability arises in the Sign In component, where the password2 input is processed without proper length validation. The flaw allows local attackers to overflow a fixed-size 18-byte buffer by entering excessively long passwords, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or a denial-of-service condition.
